The words about «becoming the leading player» are not the usual phrases that are usually pronounced in such cases. There is a good reason for this. Thanks to #motoe races, Energica Motor has gained widespread recognition around the world and buyers for its motorcycles. For the second consecutive year, sales of Energica electric motorcycles have grown by 100%. Sales are in the European market, as well as in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. According to experts, in the next 4 years, the global electric motorcycle market will grow by an average of 35% per year. Strengthens the position of the company and its constant work to improve the products. Last summer, the company unveiled the redesigned EMCE engine, which will form the basis of a new model range.
As you can imagine, since # Energica e-bikes are the backbone of the MotoE racing series, their performance is already pretty excellent. Their power reaches 107 kW (145 hp) with a top speed of 240 km / h. The new engine will have even more daring performance. However, the current global crisis, with its permanent lockdowns in different parts of the world, has caused problems in the supply chains for #energica motor. This forced the company to accelerate the previously planned development of the new engine, while diversifying the list of suppliers. And a new engine appeared
The new # EMCE engine, depending on the settings, has a peak power of 110 kW (147 hp) to 126 kW (169 hp). The torque reaches 215 Nm. The liquid cooling system of the electric motor was created anew. And all this with a weight of only 10 kg!
Thanks to innovations, with standard batteries of 13.5 and 21.5 kWh, the range is increased by 5-10%, and the maximum can be traveled on an Energica electric bike up to 420 km. It’s incredibly awesome.
Currently, the Energica Motor model range consists of the Energica EVA Ribelle, ENERGICA EGO, ENERGICA EVA EsseEsse9 series. The models naturally differ in configuration, design, engine power and battery capacity.
The fact that all segments of electric transport are gradually developing and capturing more and more new markets, and most importantly the hearts of buyers, is no longer surprising. This is a natural evolutionary process of transition into a new transport and energy era. But it is interesting to observe how today, practically at the dawn of this whole process, forward-looking financial companies consolidate future market leaders within their structures. And Ideanomics is a good example of this. They invested in the production of electric tractors, now they have bought one of the leading manufacturers of electric motorcycles. I would not be surprised that their next acquisition will be any aviation or space startup.
