Chinese private space company in pursuit of SpaceX

What will be discussed below, we have written and predicted many times. And in fact, you didn’t have to be Nostradamus to understand how the field of commercial astronautics would develop. After the creation of SpaceX by Elon Musk and its simply victorious march in the commercial launch market thanks to the reusable Falcon 9 launch vehicle, it was only a matter of time before others rushed after him. Now in the «pursuit» group there is such a company as #blue origin Jeff Bezos,

Several years ago, the Chinese government opened the way for private businesses to enter the space industry. Already, several private companies have been created in the Celestial Empire, which are developing and testing their missiles. But the closest thing to becoming a leader is the company founded in November 2016 «

Recently, static firing tests of the engine for the reusable launch vehicle Nebula-2 began at the company’s test site. This LV will be created according to the PH #falcon 9 principle. After working out a series of static burns of engines, the stage of «jumping» tests will begin at 10, 100 meters, and higher.

The test device Nebula-M, on which technologies for the Nebula-2 launch vehicle are tested, has a height of 7.3 meters. Burns of kerosene-oxygen engines will take place with the use of variable thrust, which simulates the landing stage of a reusable launch vehicle. This is almost an exact repetition of what #spacex started with, over and over again, raising #grasshopper to ever greater heights.

It is likely that several years will pass before the Chinese private launch vehicle Nebula-2 will launch its first payload into space. I bet for a maximum of 3 years. Of course, there will be explosions of test items. But they have already started. And they know how to learn quickly, and do even better than «teachers», which we can see very well from their electric cars.

The future commercial space exploration is a highly competitive field. And this is not only competition for the withdrawal of satellites, this is already a field of competition for manned flights, and space tourism. And with the arrival of Chinese private companies here, the prices for these services will drop significantly. Well, how all this will affect the Russian space industry, we can only guess …
